2019 INFINITI QX80

September 23 2019, Max Landi

Effortless travel is a defining factor of luxury. With the recently updated 2019 INFINITI QX80, the ease of use and capabilities makes this an effortless machine to live with and drive. The top-of-the-range flagship SUV was updated with a new exterior design that's much more sculptural and flowing. The updated headlights and taillights extend this new look further, bringing the QX80 more in lineup with the companies newest vehicles such as the Q60 and QX50. The QX80 is a full size, body-on-frame SUV with the choice to carry 7 or 8 passengers. It's powered by a 5.6L naturally aspirated V8 with a power rating of 400 horsepower and 413lb/ft of torque with a claimed towing capacity of 8500lbs. The QX80 offers a lot for a buyer looking for acres of interior volume and the mass of a vehicle that commands attention. The QX80 has a road presence that cannot be ignored.

Along with the QX80's sole engine offering, the four-wheel-drive system is the only way to send the V8 grunt to the road. The four-wheel-drive system can be locked in a high or low mode, alongside a 'Towing' and 'Snow' mode. These traction and drive modes will assist the QX80 for any light or moderate off-roading duties. Despite its size, the QX80 is a relatively easy car to drive. Although the size of the car will occupy the lane in which you are driving, the car tracks dead straight with a calm steering rack. This, and the impressive outward visibility, allows the driver to easily pilot the QX80. Supportive and tall seats allow every occupant a good view out and a comfortable spot to rest on a long highway cruise.

The QX80 comes standard with a few noteworthy pieces of equipment. This includes the power tailgate, 20'' wheels, LED lights, power-folding and racing third-row seats, 360-degree camera system with parking sensors and the analog timepiece in the center of the dashboard. The choice of a 7- or 8-seater configuration is the next decision a buyer will make towards their QX80. Then, the 'Technology Package' adds larger 22'' wheels, the hydraulic suspension system and suite of active safety technology like the adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, lane departure warning and the lane-keeping assist.

The size of the QX80 will be its first impression but there is much more to discover in the INFINITI SUV flagship. Find out more today about the QX80 at INFINITI Gallery, located in the Northwest Auto Mall.
